Terry Stern, owner of Stern's Construction, Inc., was born and raised
in the San Fernando Valley and has been a licensed general contractor
for over 20 years.

Dept. of Housing, LA
Dept. of Building and Safety and California
Dept. of Insurance to perform retrofits. In addition to
the above mentioned agencies, he has worked with FEMA (Federal
Emergency Management Agency) and CDC
(Community Development
Commission) of LA county to retrofit homes throughout
the Greater Los Angeles Area.
Terry
got his contractor license (# 525356) in 1988. We are
fully bonded and insured, with our worker's compensation insurance
provided by State Fund of California.

to have unnecessary work performed on their homes.

bidding since we believe in
treating customers with honesty and respect. We will beat
any legitimate bid.

price?
Answer: 1) We perform the work ourselves (no
sub-contractors). 2) We do not employ salesmen to solicit
work. 3) We buy our material in bulk from local suppliers.
4) We are a sole proprietorship. Our overhead is extremely
low so we can pass along the savings to our customers.
Materials
All
materials we used in retrofitting meet the requirements specified
by the City of Los Angeles and the local municipality. Specifically,
we use 
connectors to secure the house to the foundation.
